The New Year is finally here, bringing with it a bevy of new (and some not-so-new) cybersecurity threats. Ransomware authors are enjoying commercial success with new “as-a-service” models, while fileless malware has become stealthier to the point of near invisibility. Add in loose security standards for IoT devices, and 2016 looks like a year for the security books. So much change in the threat landscape calls for a discussion on what lies ahead, and how we can defend against attacks.
During our January 21 #SecChat, we’ll discuss key findings from the newly released McAfee Labs 2016 Threats Predictions report. This report explores emerging threats anticipated to hit businesses and consumers alike, and predicts how the security industry may react. Through this #SecChat discussion, we hope to spark an insightful conversation around what’s to come in the security world, and how organizations can safeguard against new threats. Joining in this #SecChat will be security researchers and experts from McAfee Labs who will promote an open conversation on the changing threat landscape.
